Sun Valley Beautiful Raises $10,000 for Median Beautification in Less Than 15 Days
Sun Valley, September 27, 2005 –
Sun Valley Beautiful, a coalition of business owners in the area dedicated to beautifying Sun Valley and improving the quality of life, has raised more than $10,000 towards the beautification of medians in Sun Valley. On September 13, the Sun Valley Chamber of Commerce endorsed SVB moving ahead with the project.
Donor businesses and organizations include Vulcan Materials, Sun Valley Paper Stock, Industrial Metal Supply Company, the Rotary Club of Sun Valley and Waste Management.
Additionally, Arthur Sweet, President of A&E Development Co. Inc, and a local businessman and property owner, generously pledged a match of $5,000.
Donors for project materials and services include the following companies: Angelus Block, Vulcan Materials, SV Equipment Rentals and People in Progress.
“Some of the largest businesses in Sun Valley have stepped forward and contributed to this project – with both money and materials,” said Jim Dean, chairman of Sun Valley Beautiful. “This is an important demonstration of the difference that businesses can make in the community when we work together.”
