Sun Valley Beautiful and the Sun Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Host 'Shaping Sun Valley Summit'
Local Organizations Meet on September 21st to Discuss Community Services in Sun Valley
Sun Valley, September 20, 2004 –
Bringing together local community groups who would like a part in shaping the vision of their community, the Sun Valley Area Chamber of Commerce and Sun Valley Beautiful will host a community services summit on Tuesday, September 21st.
'Shaping Sun Valley Summit' is an effort which brings together the public sector with the private, business, community and voluntary sectors that deliver services or represent local interests. The Shaping Sun Valley Summit will be held from noon to 2 pm at the Sun Valley Area Chamber Commerce, located at 8133-A San Fernando Rd.
"We are hoping that by all sitting down together and learning about each other’s programs, we can figure out ways to generate stronger results with our limited funds and resources," said Jim Dean, Co-chair of Sun Valley Beautiful.
At the summit, local groups will have the opportunity to talk about their programming and their needs. Attendees will be able to share best practices and inform the greater community about upcoming events and urgent requests.
"There is strength in numbers," said John Esbach, Member of the Sun Valley Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. "By supporting forums like this, we can help promote partnerships and build bridges within the community."
